In the Belonitor research project, with 50 test vehicles the actual driving distance to the predecessor, the actual speed and maximum local speed were monitored by in-car computer and radar systems. This information was dynamically presented to the driver. It was examined if direct feedback in case of dangerous driving and rewarding correct driving would contribute to traffic safety. The conclusions of Belonitor were positive.
