Congestion Avoidance (Dutch: ‘Spitsmijden’, www.spitsmijden.nl) is a research project testing the effects of rewarding drivers to avoid commuting during rush hours. ARS T&TT did contribute to the development of this concept and was solely responsible for the development of the necessary technology.
The results of this trial were quite positive and it will be continued with a large group of test drivers and different reward schemes.
