With traffic monitoring specific characteristics of traffic are registered. These data may be traffic intensities, travel times, or vehicle categories. The data is being used in real-time in traffic management systems, or off-line for traffic analysis. Traffic monitoring is – depending on the requirements – conducted with induction loops, radar, lasertechnology, videotechnology (VideoTT or VTT) and vehicle technology (FCD-GPS and FCD-GSM). ARS T&TT is active in almost all fields of traffic monitoring, from studies, design, installation to exploitation.
